Honoring the Legacy of
Richard Frederick Enthoven
1961 – 2025
A Lasting Commitment to Children and Families
We proudly honor the life and legacy of Rich Enthoven, a devoted board member, advocate, and champion for children across Texas. Rich was introduced to us at a pivotal moment in our development as a nonprofit. Rich quickly understood the value and potential of our work for kids in foster care, so he immediately became not just a Board member, but a beacon to us as we navigated new financial and operational terrain.Through his unwavering support of Texas CASA programs, Rich helped ensure that children in foster care were seen, supported, empowered, and given the opportunity to thrive.
Rich believed deeply in the mission of Connect Our Kids and the life-changing impact of strong advocacy systems. His generosity and leadership extended beyond funding; he was committed to building sustainable pathways that connect children, families, and the adults who fight for their futures. Years ago, as a CASA, Rich did by hand for his assigned youth what our tools scale up and make possible for many more kids in foster care. It’s a testament to Rich’s combination of brain power, problem-solving drive, and compassion.
It’s hard to overstate the impact of Rich’s role with us over the past 2 years. He had such great confidence in us and our ability to do what we needed to do, so we gained confidence in ourselves. He became not just an advisor, but a mentor, an ardent cheerleader, and a friend. The world is so much worse for this loss, but we are so much better for having known him in the time we had.
